About Us
Aarohi Academy of Music was formed in 2009 to spread the Indian culture and music in New Zealand. Mrs Vidya Shekhar Teke is a sole Director and music teacher of the Academy. Aarohi academy received an affiliation with Gandharv Mahavidyalaya, Pune (India).
Music does not require any age limit. Music needs dedication. Music needs passion. Music needs discipline. The Academy is engaged in not only online coaching Hindustani Classical, Semi-Classical and Light Music but also trained them in Bollywood music using live bands. Vidya’s dream is to give quality education in music and singing and carry forward Indian culture here in New Zealand. For this, Aarohi Academy of Music is the right place to get this.

Fees
At Aarohi, the fees have been kept moderate in order to allow every potential student to access our training. Please contact and discuss about training and fee structure during the admission process.
Students’ events
This is a special feature of the academy. Students not only learn music but also learn bow to perform on the stage. Regular class presentations are held occasionally throughout the year where students can perform on the stage.
A professional show is put up once every year where selected students perform in front of a huge crowd. These programs are a great platform for the students to make their musical statement and showcase their talent. It also instils immense confidence and stage presence in them. It’s a great delight for parents, teachers and everyone else to watch these students in action and performing on their own and we wish that all our deserving students scale a great musical heights.
